Former CEO, Canadian Education Association
Penny Milton retired as CEO of the Canadian Education Association in 2010 after more than 14 years at its helm and now devotes her time to her artwork and a small number of education assignments. She was past Chair of the Toronto Board of Education, Executive Director of the Ontario Public School Board Association, and served as Deputy Minister of the Ontario Premier’s Council on Health, Wellbeing and Social Justice.
Before joining CEA, Penny was Vice President, Human Resources and Corporate Affairs for ORTECH Corp. She has held several public appointments including (deletion) membership on The Minister's Curriculum Council and Governance Review Committee for Ontario. She was a founding Director of the Toronto Community Housing Corporation, served as a Director of ArtsSmarts and now chairs the Board of Goodwill Industries, TECNO. Penny has written and presented widely on many aspects of education as social policy. She holds a BSc (Hons) from the University of Nottingham and a Master in Management from McGill University.
