Lauren Riga takes an interdisciplinary approach to sustainability by connecting areas of science, policy and business. In addition to directing sustainability for the City of Gary, Indiana and teaching at Valparaiso University’s School of Business, she serves on several government committees and has been a delegate at United Nations conferences related to water, energy, sustainable development and climate change. She is a contributing analyst for several media outlets and engages the public with her radio show, Sustainability 101. Lauren has an honors M.S. with an emphasis on global energy markets from Valparaiso University and a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Affairs from Indiana University Northwest.
