Over the past 50 years, nuclear energy has proven its capacity to deliver reliable low-cost, low-carbon baseload power on a large scale. Advanced nuclear technologies and reactor designs can allow the nuclear fuel cycle to be closed, and offer a promising low-carbon basedload option.
