VIDEO SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Applicants will submit a 60-second video in English as part of the application package.*
Your video should include the following information:
- Your name
- Country
- Your vision for energy sustainability in 2030 and how humankind could realize this vision
- Get creative and show us your passion for science!
Preferred specifications:
- 4:3 aspect ratio
- Formats: .wmv/mov/avi
*Note: If you do not have access to video recording or uploading technology, you may choose to submit an audio recording through an online service such as soundcloud.com and submit this link in lieu of a video link.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Go to youtube.com
- Click on the Upload link at the top of the page
- You have two options:
- Click on the Upload video button if you have a pre-recorded video
- Click on Record from webcam if you still need to record your video
Upload Video
- A browser box will open that allows you to select a video file from your computer
- Select the file and click on Open
- The YouTube window will show you whether your video has been successfully uploaded
- Fill in the fields below your video
- Click on Save changes
- Please make a note of the URL where your video can be viewed.
- You will receive a confirmation email from YouTube if your video has successfully uploaded.

Record from webcam
- You will need a working webcam if you want to record your video and upload it directly from YouTube.
- When you click on Record from webcam, YouTube will automatically look for your webcam.
- If your webcam is not available, it will tell you that No camera was found.
- Follow the instructions and make sure you describe your video as outlined above.
