The Equinox Summit: Energy 2030 has a new strategy to tackle the world’s energy crisis using cutting edge science and technology and intense collaboration between some of the world’s greatest minds. And, we want you to be a part of it!

We're accepting applications for a Forum of future leaders to work directly with top experts and visionaries from around the world. You'll have the exciting and strategic opportunity to shape our global energy future.

We’re looking across the globe for young leaders in policy, politics, civil society, and business aged 20 to 30 to be part of our Summit from June 4 to 9, 2011. All successful applicants will be offered travel scholarships!

ELIGIBLITY

  • Expertise in policy, politics, civil society or business
  • Demonstrated interest in energy issues, science and technology
  • Excellent written, oral and web communication skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Ages 20 to 30 prior to June 30, 2011

IMPORTANT DATES

Online Registration Available February 3, 2011
Rolling Acceptance Begins February 28, 2011
Applications Deadline April 15, 2011
Successful Applicants Notified May 2, 2011
Equinox Summit Forum Workshops June 4 and 5, 2011
Equinox Summit June 5 to 9, 2011

Evaluation of applications will begin February 7 and successful candidates will be accepted on a rolling basis. The application process will conclude when all the spots are filled or by April 15, 2011, whichever comes first.

HOW TO APPLY

The application process consists of the following:

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

After submitting your registration form and creating your video, compile the "Application Form" into one package in this order only:

  • Application Form
  • CV
  • Letters of Reference (2)

The preferred method of receiving the application package is by file upload.

After completing and saving the application form, use the link provided in your registration response email to submit your application form, curriculum vitae and reference letters.

If necessary, you may post your application and supporting document by postal mail with tracking to:

We will not send out notifications of receipt to individual applicants.

Only completed applications received by the deadline above will be given consideration.

As the workshop and events will be conducted in English, all candidates must be fluent in writing and communicating in English.

All information and documentation submitted by you and your Referees is stored in a secure, confidential database at WGSI, which can be accessed only by the WGSI's Management. We appreciate your cooperation with this application procedure.
