QUORUM

A panel of scientific experts representing different approaches to energy production, distribution and storage will present and debate on their visions for viable sources of renewable energy.

Over three days of working sessions, the Quorum will produce a shortlist of recommendations that policy makers can use to guide investment in science and technology over the next 20 years.

To foster a free and open collaboration process, these sessions will be held in private, with select members of the media reporting.

Members of the public and additional media will have access to this process through a daily series of public presentations by some of the members of the Quorum.

FORUM

An international group of future leaders in public policy, industry and civil society will interact with the Quorum during the daily working sessions and observe how scientific process can contribute to policy debate.

Forum members will further examine the Quorum's findings and propose their own recommendations for implementing the technologies proposed.

The Forum will be joined by an advisory team of influential experts, investors, and entrepreneurs.

ADVISORS

A panel of advisors – public policy experts, investors and entrepreneurs who are experienced in political and economic aspects of the issues – will advise the Quorum and Forum on how to accelerate the research and implementation of future technologies.

PUBLIC PROGRAMMING

Fresh from private discussions reported by media, select summit participants will present daily public lectures and participate in panel discussions that focus on energy literacy and other key issues that inform the energy policy debate.

Each day, Equinox Summit: Energy 2030 will feature two free-to-the-public afternoon presentations as well as a televised panel each evening on key energy issues.

All public events will be streamed live online, and archived for future viewing.

Some audience events will be by invitation only.

ENERGY 2030 BLUEPRINT

Equinox Summit: Energy 2030 will conclude with the presentation of the Quorum's findings to a group of policymakers, science and technology influencers, and the media.

This "report card" will serve as a benchmark for our present situation and as a roadmap for implementing the Quorum's ideas.

The Blueprint will include an executive summary, based on the recommendations made by the Quorum as well as a set of justifications for each solution proposed.

The Forum's recommendations on implementation strategies will make up a second component of this blueprint.
